Bottled (From bierzwerg.de). Very deep rubyish black colour, small brown head. Aroma is mild toffee, some roasted malts, along with some nuttyness as well as ashes. Flavour is roasted malts, some slight toffee, mild metallic notes as well as some slight nuttyness.

Pours dark amber with a off-white head. Aroma has notes of caramel, nuts and bread. Taste is light sweet, medium body, soft carbonation.

Bottle 500ml.Clear medium to dark amber color with a average, frothy to creamy, good lacing, mostly lasting, light beige head. Aroma is moderate malty, bread, roasted, nutty, caramel, chocolate. Flavor is moderate to light light heavy sweet and bitter with a average to long duration, nutty, roasted, caramel, licorice notes. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. [20101211]

Bottle @ FOneFan. Dark amber/brown/reddish with small off-white head. Flavour is malt, light roasted malt, caramel, slightly liquorish and distinct nuts.

Dark nut brown color, steady creamy beige head. Rye bread aroma, toasted malts. Light to medium bodied. Watery palate. Flavor is similar to aroma: rye bread, toasted malts, light hops and malts. Quite light. Close to dunkels.

The bottle looks really good, the beer in the glass also. Smoky-malty aroma. Tastes also quite smoky, complex maltiness. Notes of bacon and christmas-spices. Well balanced finish. Unusual but good schwarzbier!

Bottle: Reddish-amber coloured, quite firm off-white head; burnt malt and caramel in the aroma, vegetables too; light sweetish flavour, a little acidity detectable, too; metal and vegetables in the drier malty finish. Cough...no pleasure at all !

(bottle) Clear, mahogany colour with a medium-sized, slightly off-white foamy head. Slightly sweet, moderately roasted malt aroma with a touch of marzipan. Bitter and slightly sweet flavour, light to medium bodied with a medium carbonation. Slightly ashy, slightly roasted dark malty taste, medium-dry finish with a light roasty bitterness and shy traces of hops. Average.
