Bottle at home, from ABCbeers. Pours black with thin creamy head. Dry non-sweet roasted malts, laurel, licorice. Light sweet taste with emphasised finish, light sour note in there aswell. Body is between thin and medium, a bit watery, with below average carbo. The laurel aroma comes out really well.

Bouteille 33cl, de et partagée avec 77ships. BB 03/2016. Convainquant.

330 ml. bottle sampled @ “Tim’s Christmas Tasting”. Contains bay leaf & bay leaf licorice apparently (didn’t even know that the second thing existed). BBF 03/2016. Red amber brown with mocha bubbles. Nose is sweet licorice, mocha, herbal, root beer, Coca-Cola, more herbs & leaves. Body is powdery ashes, licorice, herbal, root beer, fizzy, herbs, Coca-Cola, leaves, overall massive anise. Body is a bit thin, fizzy, and metallic. Would have worked better if it had a more substantial body. I seems to have some interesting ideas but never fully makes them core true.

Bottle from ABC Beers, Den Haag. Poured a clear dark brown with a frothy, short-lived, light tan head. The aroma is malt and with some strange plastic notes. The flavour is liqourice, smoked malt with a light, watery, liqourice, light medicinal, hop bitter palate. Medium bodied with soft carbonation. In fact it was completely flat within minutes of pouring.
