12oz bottle I picked up in Madeira. Standard Pale Lager. Pours a totally transparent yellow, gold with very little fizzy, white head. Noticeably heavy carbonation. Nose is stale malts, grassy, lightly sweet. Flavor is stale bread and grass. Finish is dry. Worse than a beach beer.

Sample at the Eurostash II tasting on 12/12/09: This beer is a clear pale yellow color with a thin and fizzy white head that burns away quickly. Spotty lacing. Sweet grainy malt aroma. Light body with a bready malt and mild hops flavors. The finish is short and malty with a bit of fruit left over. Straightforward and forgettable Pale Lager overall.

Bottle, thx to faroeviking. A clear, golden beer with a small, white head. Pale malts, grass and some fruity hops in the aroma. Sweet and malty flavor with a fruity touch and a decent bitterness. Medium to thin body. The finish has a fine bitterness. A decent and straightforward pale lager, just like I remembered it from my vacation at Madaira, 10 years ago. Nothing to bring back home though, let it stay at the island. (081213)

Small white head. Deep yellow body. Mealy buttery bicarb soda aroma, kind of like waffles, with papery sodapop notes. Dryish buttery grassy bicarb soda taste, kind of watery and salty. Mid-bodied. Dry buttery straw aftertaste. Pitiful. (0.33l bottle, gift from the in-laws.)
