To celebrate the beginning of a new millennium, Samuel Adams Millennium Ale was released in November of 1999, the next “Extreme Beer” following Triple Bock.
Big, caramel, vanilla with notes of fruit and malt. Finishing clean and crisp.

The package is as elegant as the beer it contains: a cobalt blue bottle with platinum lettering, finished with a natural cork and sealing wax, encased in a cherry wood box. There are only 3,000 bottles of Samuel Adams Millennium, and each is signed and numbered by Koch. A bottle of Samuel Adams Millennium costs about two hundred dollars. The #1 bottle was auctioned off at a benefit for Outward Bound and was sold for almost $5,000.

Warm and sweet with a rich malt and wood complexity, Samuel Adams® Millennium is an example of the brewers’ art in its highest form

Bottle cracked by Marc at the LCBS 10. Holy Toledo, I am privileged to be hear!! This beer is nuts. Big maple, toffee, and alcohol aromas. The pour was deep brown with no head. The taste is so freakin’ smooth. Loaded with carmel, maple, toffee, brown sugar, and just enough of that alcohol burn to keep you honest. This beer is unbelievably smooth, is it really 20%????

Bottle # 2209/3000. Pours with no head with a viscous, layered brown body with nice alcohol legs, okay, really nice legs! Aroma of maple, port, Madeira, vanilla, cherry wood, medium alcohol, raisin, and yeast. Taste is raisins, maderia, butter, port sweetness, [unreadable], plums and fig. syrupy and viscous, very well hidden alcohol, but some heat on the stomach. Not too shabby, not too shabby at all (understatement, this shit rocks!), in the words of swalden28, "Good Shit!"

thanks yespr for letting me sample the last of the bottle. aroma mustve been better. i get cellary woody notes, yeast. raisins, plum. appears muddy brown with no head. probably bc its near the last in the bottle. flavor is fantastic. raisins, grapes, cherry?, sweet notes could be from faint syrup, tastes like a real good liqeur. well balanced. im sure if this was out of the fresh bottle few yrs ago it would get 4+ from me
