Mohawk Blizzard is an extreme beer. It is brewed with ten malts, dark cane sugar and honey, as well as eight different varieties of hops. All this to help with complexity, while providing balance and elegance. Drink now, or save a few bottles for next year and see how the layered tones of fortified wine and nuts adds a further dimension to this beer.

Bottle. Black with a huge, tan head. Aroma of burnt malt, chocolate, licorice. Slightly musty. The taste was unbalanced, burnt malt and some chemical notes. A disappointment.

Bottled. A black beer with a brown shine under a thin brown head. The aroma has notes of cocoa beans, chocolate, alcohol, and roasted malt. The flavor is sweet with notes of malt, cocoa beans, chocolate, and alcohol, leading to a dry cocoa finish.

Bottle 33 cl. Courtesy of joergen. Pours pitch black with a vague tint of orange and a tiny and rough beige head. Hard roast nose with loads of espresso coffee. Solid body, completely fat, hard roast malt and dark fruits, again some coffee. Warming alcohol finish. 221110
