Our take on the West Coast-style Double India Pale Ale, The Oracle places hop intensity first and foremost, making only the slightest concession to malt and balance.
The fireworks start with the aromatic punch of dry-hop sessions with hop varieties from the Pacific Northwest. Resinous, citrusy hop flavors mixed with aggressive bitterness from a massive kettle addition deliver on that aromatic promise.

Bottle from Guerde. Thanks man! Pours clear orange/copper with a creamy off-white head. Aroma is floral and citrus with a hint of caramel. Med body. Flavor is very hoppy, but there is some malt sugar towards balance. I get burning resin and citrus hop, and the finish is just beautifully bitter. The burn eases, and the bitter never quits. Heat? With all that hop who could tell?

Thanks to GT2 for the phone tip, alerting me that this was on draft at Churchkey. Clear golden color, white edge head. Amazing aroma of pine > grass > flowers. Taste is pine boughs wrapped in lemon rinds, perfect balance. Best beer of the night.

Round citrus and grapefruit hops in the aroma with sweet caramel malts. Intensely bitter citrus hops in the flavor with a backing of caramel malts, sweet malts. Really bitter, really powerful caramel malt, sweet, and quite good.

Bottled. An unclear amber beer with a thin yellowish head. The aroma has notes of grapefruit and over ripe fruits. The flavor is sweet malty with strong notes of fruit combined with medium notes of grapefruit from the hops, leading to a bitter finish.

Bottle 12fl.oz.Light unclear medium amber orange color with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, caramel, moderate to heavy hoppy, orange - citrus, overripped orange - mandarin. Flavor is heavy sweet and bitter with a long duration, hoppy, overriped fruity hops. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. [20101122]

12 fl oz bottle. Pours hazy orange with a small white head. Aroma is spiced and crisp hops fruity. Bitter, citrusy and light mango hoppy flavoured. Mild sweetness and yet bone dry with a crisp fruity touch. Ends bone dry and with a persisting and uplifting fruity touch.
