Eight different malts were used to make this balanced Mild. Hints of caramel and chocolate are layered in this modern interpretation of a classic British style. A rich dark colour with a dry finish.

Handpull cask at Drink?, Hebden Bridge. Light mahogany and clear with a small frothy off-white head and lots of thick lacing. Piney aroma on the nose with woody, malty and floral notes along with red berries. Sweet taste with chocokate malt and tasty hop notes of berry and stone fruit. More bitterness in the finish. Light body, soft carbonation. Incredible 'craft' mild: a nod to the traditional style that's packed with character.

Can. I’m pretty certain this is the same recipe and what have you. Cola brown. Suds of beige. Nose has coffee powder. Dark chocolate. Slightly nutty. Bit of fruit. Taste is dry and lightly bitter. Modicum of sweetness. Light and easy drinking with fine carbonation. Light roast bitterness to finish. Nice mild.

Cask at the Southampton Arms, London on 31st December 2021. Deep ruby-black with pale tan foam affording full lacing. Roasty malt aroma with subtle spices. Rich and roasty in-mouth with bitter chocolate and coffee flavours. A late transient of light candied fruits precedes a satisfying roasty finish. Medium bodied with a smooth yet engaging texture. Superb.

Cask gravity at Reading BF 2007. I had this down as Marble Half Cut Mild at 4.0%. Ginger aroma. Fairly light in body, but it is definitely gingery. Light mild with ginger.
