Rating from bottle collection/historic notes. Supermarket purchase. Poured clear amber colour with a small white head. Aroma of light hop, and caramel malt. Moderate sweetness, light bitterness. Towards being medium bodied. Soft carbonation. Finish a little dry. An ok bitter.

500ml Bottle: BBD end of July 2014, poured into an Abbot Ale glass tankard at home on 28th May, some two months before it’s life ends. Obtained from a ’Wye Vale’ garden centre some time ago. Clear mid-amber body with a full and lasting off-white head. Malts lead the way in both the aroma and taste. Light, semi-sweet molasses in the nose push out any hop aromas while in the mouth the malts give a mild caramel and toffee flavouring that hides the hoppy bitter underbelly until the finish where a mini bitterness comes to the fore. I really enjoyed my pint (well 500ml then, not the correct 568ml).

Dry bitterness from this beer, but everything else is right target for the style.

Bottled at oh6gdx’s birthday bash at chriso’s. Clear amber, small head. Light-medium bodied. Some grassy hops, bready malt and notes of glue. Low bitterness. Doughy bread is the remaining impression.

Bottle at Pat’s birthday tasting at chriso’s. Pours clear, amber-gold with a fine, white head. Sweet and bready nose, with some caramel. Medium sweet flavor, lightly leafy bitters, some caramel. Medium bodied with average carbonation. Sweet finish, some bread and caramel. Basic and very easy beer. Nothing wrong.

Bottle at Chriso Patriks Bday tasting. Clear light briwn. Lasting white head. Not a great aroma. Its a bit infected strong malt and then dies a bit. Bit of malty cake.

Cask@The New Wheatsheaf, London. Amber colour, small head. Aroma is quite a standard bitter one with some toffeeish notes as well. Flavour is sweet malts, some toffee, mild biscuity notes as well as some slight wooden and floral notes.
