Bottle from Sainsburys. Amber pour, white head. Strange aroma of sour milk with a bit of vanilla and cream which doesn’t give any hint towards what the flavour’s like- ginger, hops and a light bitterness. Bitter finish. Boring stuff.

(Cask at Edgar Wallace, London, 24 Nov 2010) Amber colour with brief, off-white head. Fruity, hoppy nose with orange, dried apricots and floral hops. Fruity, hoppy taste with notes of apricots, floral hops and a light malt character with hints of crystal malt. Rather light body, with balanced sweetness. Refreshing and very drinkable. Quite nice.

[Jim shared a bottle with me - cheers!] Pours golden-amber with no head at all. Looks fizzy in the glass but isn’t in the mouth - quite a creamy mouthfeel. Herbal aroma. Caramel & butter dominates the sweet taste with a few minty herbs behind. Drinkable, but - haha - a bit of a shambles. Not sure their bottling is up to scratch.

27th April 2010. Clear dark amber beer. Low carbonation. Light semi dry palate. Toffeish malt - dry. Pretty well balanced with a little hop that’s not bitter. Toffee malt dominates a little.

A dark orange beer with a huge light brown head. The aroma is very sweet and complex with notes of yeast, fruit, cinnamon, but also hints that lead my brain towards detergent. The flavor is dominated by notes of yeast and grapefruit on a sweet and sour background and with a smooth yet dry end.
