400ml tap, outdoor at Bishop Arms, Avenyen. 4.9% according to the information about the ABV. A rusty shade to a black body. Beige, patchy surface. Slightly roasted dark malts added by hints of citric hops. Dark malts in flavour joined by anise and hoppy fruits. Easy to drink. Thin to medium bodied (Gothenburg, 02.08.2010).

First ratingBottled at Rotary Pub, Göteborg. May 2010.Clear dark red to black color, big light brown head. Just beautiful to look at. Herbal hoppy, malty sweet, some roasted notes, scent. Sweet, dry, roasted, butter, chocolate taste. Roasted aftertaste. Medium to fizzy mouthfeel, I prefer my porters to be smooth with less pronounced co2. Medium bitterness. (Draught at Bishop’s Arms Vasagatan, Stockholm) Black colour with creamy, beige head. Roasted, malty nose with notes of cocoa, liquorice, tobacco and black coffee. Roasted, malty taste with coffee, tobacco, cocoa and a dry, almost burnt finish with hints of ashes and a generous cocoa bitterness. Medium body, dry. Nice and tasty porter.

12 ounce bottle from Bruisin Ales in Asheville. Pours a reddish tinted brown color with a thin head. Poor retention and lacing. Aroma is roasted malts with leafy hops. Taste is roasted malts, chocolate, leafy hops and a metallic finish. Medium bodied.

Dark brown color with a thin head that quickly ran to the edges of the glass. Some malt aroma, but not really any large amounts of roast or chocolate that I like to find first off in a really good Porter. The flavor was a that of an average Porter, no real big surprises, and other than needing a bit more body and a maybe having a touch of astringency, this isn’t too bad.
