Bottle at home. Light brown color, light red glare, small to average sized off-white to beige head. Aroma is malts, raisins, heavy whiskey. Flavor is malts, again heavy whiskey barrel aging going on in there, raisins a little again, sweetish somewhat bitter in the finish. Nice beer, perfect for a cold winter night.

(Bottle, 0.66 l - vintage 2020, thanks VastActiv, at Arde, 20211008) The beer poured brown and cloudy. Its head was small and white. Aroma had raisins, prunes and malts. Palate was full bodied and dry with medium carbonation. Flavours were malts, raisins, wood, vanilla and bitterness. Aftertaste was woody, boozy and bitter. A tasty malty brew with pleasant aged notes.

Sample from the bottle at Ardes residence, Helsinki. Color is cloudy brown with small white head. Aromas and flavors: Ripe fruits, raisins, some whiskey, hops and malts. Simple but very enjoyable.

650ml bottle. Sweet, caramely and ripe fruity with some raisins, prunes, soft oaky notes, toffee and syrup. Quite old skoolish.

Refrigerated 75 cL brown bottle poured into a snifter. Clear copper with big beige head. Aroma is caramel malt, medium body, medium carbonated, and good small-bubble lacing. Taste is caramel, wood, and whiskey. Hybrid between scotch ale and barley wine.

Bottle. (thanks Tom) Hazy amber with a small white head. Aroma and taste of malt, caramel, oak, fruit and notes of vanilla. Warming alcohol in the finish.

Muddy ugly, lots of vinous but also bourbon nose, light alcohol, cherry esters, fruity, nice malts and a red wine type treatment.

750mL bottle, pours a hazy orange amber with a small beige head. Aroma brings out light whiskey barrels upfront, with light toasted caramel and bready malt. Flavour is quite boozy, with lots of whiskey barrels upfront, with toasted caramel and bready malt. Nice use of the barrels here - the whiskey comes through nicely. Excellent.
