cloudy brown, smooth light brown head. aroma is caramel, malts, bitter caramel, stale hops. Aroma profile leans towards a brown ale. flavor is caramelly, malty, flowery hoppy, sweetish, chocolate cake, quite a lot of hops but not agressive like american barleywine. Very solid though. sweet malts. Flavor lends a lot from a brown ale i think, but the brew is quite a lot more solid than your usual brown ale.

9/11/12/12/9/12

Bottled. A deep red beer with a tan head. The aroma has notes of alcohol, over ripe fruits, malt, alcohol, and spices. The flavor is sweet with notes of malt, dusty hops, caramel, over ripe fruits, and caramel, as well as hints of a metallic edge from the alcohol, leading to a dry finish.

Beautiful dark amber color; big head, yoghurt-like.The aroma shows paper first, then malt, yeast and the disturbing Danish nuttiness; very inaccurate. Medium body strength, the flavor is basically dark caramel and rosted nuts; there is a strong bitterness and a light alcohol feeling. The last style I would think for this beer is Barley Wine…
