(Draught at Monk’s Café Wallingatan, Stockholm, 19 Jan 2013) Hazy reddish brown colour with dense, beige head. Malty, fruity nose with chocolate, banana, toffee and toasted malt. (bottle) Cloudy, reddish amber colour with a medium-sized and slightly tanned foamy head. Dusty caramel-malty aroma with present clovy spices and a rather light fruity touch of banana and dark berries. Moderately sweet flavour with a tinge of sourness, light to medium bodied with a smooth carbonation. Wheaty and cara-malty taste with a bit more pronounced fruit-character and milder spicy notes compared to the aroma; sweet and slightly sour-fruity caramelly and wheaty finish. At last a likeable Dunkelweizen. 11.X.10

Towering brownish-cream head, very dense & tenacious, over fully hazy brown-amber beer, with a mossy shine. Banana, smoked ham, roasted malts, and pretty spicy. Light sourish, quite fruity & spicy taste with lots of balance. Banana & nutmeg most obvious, just a hint at saltiness. Medium bodied, obvious wheatslickness, creamy MF and quite carbonated. Excellent in its style. Wheatbeer, IMO, benefits enormously from dark malts.
