[500ml bottle, gift from my wife - cheers!] Considering this is a relatively local brewery, I’m surprised that this is the first I’ve had from them. Deep amber, negligible beige head, moderate carbonation. Tastes dry and woody - almost of sawdust at first. Slight metallic hints before some autumn fruit come through. But the mouthfeel is weak, watery and fizzy - felt like a mass-market pasteurised bitter rather than a micro brewery bottle conditioned old ale. Disappointing, but I suspect that it’s better casked.

500 ml. bottle as Buckinghamshire Ale. BBE 10.08. Lightly roasted, bready malt aromas. Dark reddish amber color with a white head. Medium bodied with coarsely creamy carbonation. Flavor seems to start with cola, but passed on to malty, fruity and bitter. Very well balanced, but slightly harsh in the mouth. Fruity hop bitter by the end, I think.
