Oude Geuze VAT 110 has foeder No. 110, a cognac storage vat in a previous life, to thank for its light dry but exceptionally full-bodied taste, finished with a hint of vanilla and dry fruit. This Oude Geuze is epitomised by a wealth aromas, cultivated by the wild Brett yeasts in the vat.

Bottle shared at the pre-Christmas tasting with JimGreenuk. Near clear golden with an off white head. Aroma of dry cellar funk, citrus, oak and cobwebs. Flavour is light to moderate sweet and moderate sour. Medium bodied with soft carbonation.

Small and quickly fading head of foam sitting atop a clear gold liquid.
Smells really tart, some Brett, oak, vanilla. Quite acetic.
Sour apples, very acetic, light Brett, wood, vanilla in the background. Much more tartness than the Vat 108.
Just in medium bodied territory, lively carbonation.
One delicious sob.

Little cloudy orange beer, small creamy off-white head, little stable, non adhesive. Aroma: funky, wood notes, brett, horse stable, some acidity. MF: ok carbon, medium body. Taste: acidic start, quite some lemon juice, soft bitterness, green apples, apple skin, very dry. Aftertaste: bitter, hoppy touch, some tannins, bit metallic.

Bottle @ Home. Pours slightly hazy golden with a small offwhite head. Aroma of light sourness, malt, barnyard, wood, oak, light citrus. Flavor is light sweet, light sour, malty, barnyard, wood, oak, citrus, grapefruit. Medium body, soft to average carbonation, light acidic finish. 191117
