Oude Geuze VAT 110 has foeder No. 110, a cognac storage vat in a previous life, to thank for its light dry but exceptionally full-bodied taste, finished with a hint of vanilla and dry fruit. This Oude Geuze is epitomised by a wealth aromas, cultivated by the wild Brett yeasts in the vat.

Bottle share, box set. Clear, medium golden , light bubbly head. Fruity aroma, woody, barrel notes. Smooth, gentle tartness. A bit more tart than the 108.

Bottle from the Beer Cave. Appearance - cloudy orange. Thin head. Nose - light funk and salty with light wood. Taste - yeast dominated and wood and earthy fink around the edges. Palate - light bodied, long and lean. Overall - not as interesting as VAT 91 but extremely balanced.

375 ml corked bottle at Polar, Madrid. It pours very cloudy golden, some greenish shades. Short-lived, off-white head. Aroma is loads of cider, marine breeze, lemon bloom, strawberry. Bone-dry, quite full-bodied (for a lambic), salty. Finish is dry, salty, long-lasting. Nice, as Boon vats usually are.

Bottle: Poured a clear golden color lambic with a large slightly off-white foamy head with OK retention and light lacing. Aroma of funky yeast notes, oak and fruity and tart notes is enjoyable. Taste is a mix of funky yeast notes, light barnyard, oak and fruity notes with some tart notes but no acidity. Body is pretty full with good carbonation. Enjoyable but not as complex as other beers from this series.

medium cloudy pale amber color. Peaches, banana and apricot in the nose. Lower tartness compared to other vats but oak and barrel character is nice but I find the funkiness is just a bit too odd. Like old shoes and bananas. The cognac is a bit lost. Still nice

Taster showing deep gold with no head. The nose shows moderately intense notes of brett and lighter notes of apricot, hay, and oak. The palate is moderately carbonated and light bodied. Moderately tart with light notes of brett with a moderately intense malt backbone and barely noticeable hoppy bitterness on the finish.
