Cains FA is no small beer: despite its deceptively pale golden colour, it boasts a big, smooth flavour and strong punch. Brewed with the finest English malts, and conditioned in cask with dry hops to produce fresh hop aromas and a fuller flavour, delighting the mouth and stimulating the tongue.

Cask @ Doctor Duncans, Liverpool 040113
Golden, clear, pillowy white head, good lacing
Aroma of soft sweet caramel malts
Taste - Caramel malts, light bitter hops, touch of soft fruits, not a lot going on here for 5%, easy drinking though, nice soft mellow toffee caramel malt
Palate - Medium body, sweetish malt palate. Finish - fairly bitter, cleans off palate quite well
Overall - Solid, workmanlike, drinkable, easy going, fairly bland for a 5% beer, but it was still quite nice

Cask at the Old Manor (JDW), Bracknell - ABV 5.0%. Bright straw with a compact white head; grainy aroma with some tropical fruit; syrupy in the mouth, with more grainy, floury, tastes and a little fruit; then a lightly bitter finish. Not very exciting.
