In keeping with recent tradition, we’re pleased to share an exciting new Avalonia variant in celebration of yet another year of brewing here on Music Vale Road. Avalonia: Medley was dreamed up (by brewer Dan) with the intention of capturing the vibrant flavors of a peak summer, ripe berry salad. As always, a careful blend of barrel-aged mixed fermentation ales forms a clean, nuanced base with gentle acidity for which the fruit to rest upon. A refermentation on whole Boysenberries and Blueberries yields a complexity of berry character you wouldn’t quite expect from just the two fruits. And finally, a light infusion of fresh mint and lime brings the concept to life.
