We’re also pleased to share a new fruit variant with Avalonia: Blueberry. A portion of the base component of barrel-aged (non-spontaneous) ales that found its way into Overture was transferred onto a blend of wild, cultivated and our own, hand-picked blueberries grown just beside the brewery. In tasting the whole fruit, our hope was that depth and complexity of character, sometimes tough to achieve with a finnicky-fruit like blueberry, would carry through to the final beer with such variety. We couldn’t be more pleased with the result and hope you enjoy!
