330ml bought at Systembolaget in Linköping. Shared with Finn. Good looking with a clear, dark-brown body topped by a one-finger, off-white head. Smell of roasted dark malts. Taste is also roasted with earthy malts and hints of cocoa and caramel. Rather short aftertaste of roast bitterness. Clean and easy to drink (Tromsø, 24.01.2011).

Dark brown beer with weak and beige head. Roastiness, some toffeeish sweetness with some vegetables and black coffee. Flavour is quite roasted, some coffee and taste from pineforest without bitterness, interesting. Quite a lot of carbonation with light body. Quite interesting beer, but I think that this beer could be better. Anyway, personal and worth to try.

33 cl bottle from Systembolaget.BB March 2011, sampled on October 8, 2010. Clear dark reddish brown color. Big lasting tan head. Malty,s weet, bready, hoppy scent lined with some fruit esters and also some phenoles. Rubber tubing, plastic and also some smoke in the nose. Licght acidic, grainy, roasted, coffee, dry, bitter taste. Medium mouthfeel with a very dry finish. Medium bitterness. Phenolic and somewhat fruity aftertaste. I think I’m getting sensitive to the yeast, or some of the yeast, that they use at Nils Oscars. Can’t say I’ve enjoyed some of their latest beers I’ve tried, too heavy on the acidity and the phenoles.
