De Wispe 1683 is geïnspireerd op een recept uit de 17e eeuw, de hoogtijdagen van de Weesper brouwindustrie. Met een bierhistoricus is achterhaald hoe het gerstedrank uit die tijd moet hebben gesmaakt. Hierbij is gebruik gemaakt van een origineel Amsterdams bierrecept uit de 17de eeuw. Het is een bovengistend, meergranen bier, met authentieke ingrediënten als boekweit, haver, steranijs en koriander.

Hazy orange colour with nice bubble cascade and lasting head. The star anise is quite prominent. I also get some clove. Not a flavour profile that I like but is well made with nice mouthfeel.

Decent enough. Chewy, but a bit muddled body feel. Nice to a classic rustic touch though. Bierkonig ams

Fles 33cl thuis. Fruitje, licht steranijs, koriander, licht kruidig, zoetje, wat yeasty. (17-11-2023).
