The aroma is bright woody mead with subtle floral accents. The start is sweet, before moving into a drier alcoholic finish. The floral heather notes and cool honey sugars emerge well into the aftertaste, providing a pleasant coda. Good balance. A mead lover’s mead.

Blond color, just a shade lighter than the regular Mead. The aroma shows honey, a variety that is more floreal, almost with vanilla notes. Very syrupy mouthfeel, even if the body is medium thick; the honey flavor is very strong, a perfumy variety, with strong wax too, very sweet. The final, for once among Meads, has a true honey trail (acacia honey). Extreme in its sweet/flowery/soapy character, but somehow it’s what is expected from a Mead. Good.

Bottle 200ml. w. swing top.Clear medium yellow color with virtually none head. Aroma is moderate to heavy honey, honey wax, flowers, heather. Flavor is heavy sweet with a long duration. Body is medium, texture is syrupy - oily, carbonation is flat, finish feel is light to moderate alcoholic. [20100908]

Clear golden. Aroma had plenty of honey and floral notes. Flavor had plenty of honey, floral and fruity hints. Finished very sweet.

Bottle 20 cl. Courtesy of fonefan. Pours golden with a slight haze. Very flowery pollen aroma, and beeswax. Solid body, sweet honey, tobacco and flowers. Warming alcohol finish. Rustic yet lovely. 080910

20 cL bottle, courtesy of fonefan. Pours clear and golden orange with no head. Aroma is honey herbal and sweet fruity. Sweet, herbal and floral. Honey and sweet flavoured into the finish. Lasting sweet and honey herbal into the finish.
