clear orange no head. typical mead aroma, honey, spicy bitter and alc bitter. appears balanced. palate is surprisingly watery. flavor is fruity, sort of apple like, flowers, honey. disturbingly easy to drink, considering the 14% alc. The thin palate works way better than i would have expected.

Bottle 75 cl. Courtesy of fiulijn. Pours a clear deep golden. Nose is a little spicy, honeyish yet dry. The body is rather light. There’s some marzipan, honey and flower notes, but generally this is very, very dry - almost whitewineish. The alcohol shows in the finish. There’s a little late ashes - or elderflower. Complex, but perhaps a little too dry for a mead to my liking. 070910

Corked bottle from the crêperie Ti Mourrou, Paris
The bottle has lot of sediment; it pours a beautiful golden color.
Very nice aroma, Marsala wine, flowers and dried fruits, lightly oxidised, but with some freshness, and alcohol.
It’s a semi-dry Mead, in the front some sweetness can still be perceived; dry honey flavor, with some oxidisation, it gets very similar to a dry sherry, with an elegance that many other meaderies find difficult to achieve.
The final is dry, woody, a bit fruity and slightly astringent, with just some alcohol warmth.
Very interesting.
