Appearance - 8 | Aroma - 6 | Flavor - 8 | Texture - 8 | Overall - 7.5
Cask at Hogshead, Wolverhampton. Pours a dark chestnut with a sizeable white head. Nuts and malts in the aroma. Lots to savour in the mouth – mainly fruitcake, ginger and malts. Some traditional hops there too, and traces of grians and spices. Finish is quite spicy. Nice – a decent old style ESB.
