Bottle from the Ship Inn. Appearance - amber to copper with a thin head. Nose - big orange and bread notes. Marmalade on toast. Taste - lovely roasty toasty hit followed by the oranges or even apricots again. Palate - despite the low ABV this is near as dammit medium bodied with a nice crunchy texture and a long dry finish. It’s got the structure of an ESB at the strength of a regular bitter. Overall - really well integrated hops and malt. Lovely little beer.

500ml Bottle - Golden with a white head. Roasted malt, coffee and hints of dried fruit in the aroma. Nutty and slightly roasted taste with chestnuts, walnuts, dried apricot and biscuity malt detected. An interesting beer with an unusual aroma and taste for a beer this colour.
