Bock originates from Einbeck in Northern Germany and the Bocks of today are notably malty and strong.
Our version of this classic style beer is dark ruby red brown in colour, with sweet malt as the predominant flavour. This comes from a mixture of malts including Munich malt. The sweet malt is only balanced by the hops meaning this winter warmer is just the thing for a dark cold night.
Enjoy!

Cask at Three Tuns, Dronfield - Flowery nose. Copper brown coloured a little on the sweet side, and a bit malty with a hint of bitterness and dryness in a lasting malt finish. Not bad,

Cask. A deep red beer with a light tan head. The aroma has strong notes of malt and caramel as well as lighter notes of butterscotch and candy. The flavor is very sweet with notes of candy, caramel, and toffee, leading to a dry and bitter finish. The mouthfeel is creamy.

Cask-conditioned at the Bag O’Nails, Bristol 17/05/09. Reddish-amber in colour with a slight, off-white head. Aroma of caramel, crystallised red fruit and a touch of earthiness. Flavour was very sweet, with plenty of toffee and a short, almost spicy finish. Ok.
