Bière rousse de fermentation haute, élégante, chaleureuse et chatoyante. Sa douceur évoquant le caramel lui vient d’un malt d’orge légèrement torréfié. Un houblon originaire des bords du lac de Constance lui confère son amertume modérée.

A hazy orange beer with a thin beige head. The aroma is sweet combined with a slight acidity, and hints of corn. The flavor is somewhat sweet to start out with notes of stale berries - especially cowberries. The end is somewhat acidic.

(Bottle 33 cl) Pours amber golden with a slight haze and a creamy, off-white head. Caramelish nose with a tangy whiff. Medium body with some caramel and a discreet tartness. Infected? Still quite pleasant. Thanks to Bov for this. 170406

Red-amber, slight haze; 2 cm of off-white head, a bit disparate. Sweet, fruity nose. Whiff of diacetyl? Then a nose, combined of melting candlewax and freshly boiled artichokeleaves. Unappetising burnt taste, as from fries blackened in the deep-frying pan. Orangezest in the background, maybe toffee too. After some time, taste softens, gets more fruitier, as from rosehips. Medium bodied. The scorched taste is awful in the beginning, even when it fades a bit. Not my cuppa tea.

Bottled. Cloudy orange with quickly vanishing head. Vinuous toffee nose. Lively, dry and acidic with notes of peach and apple. Clean and soft. Sour appley finish.

Amber ale. Very light aroma. Good body, partially malty, smooth, lightly fuity, enough sweet, then equilibrated by a few aromatic hop. It lacks some hop character (in the palate, e.g.), but it is pleasant.
