So dark you could be mistaken for thinking it’s a stout (but I don’t think it’s classed as one.) A strong, malty aroma and there’s malt in the flavour too. It has a bitter, nutty aftertaste. It’s very smooth and drinkable.

Cask. A deep red beer with a lazing beige head. The aroma has notes of over ripe fruits, malt, and caramel. The flavor is sweet with notes of malt and over ripe fruits, leading to a dry, bitter, and nutty finish.

Cask (handpump) @ Head of Steam, Huddersfield Station - St. Georges Square, West Yorkshire, Huddersfield Road, HD1 3EB.Clear dark brown color with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, roasted, bread, chocolate. Flavor is moderate sweet and bitter with a average to long duration. Body is mediumm to light, texture is watery to oily, carbonation is soft. Cask. Dark brown with an orange hue and an off-white head. Butter and roasted malt in the nose. Light body, low carbonation, hard roasted malt and a little coffee. Discreetly malt biter finish. 190110

Cask, Crescent, Salford. Really not getting what is particularly christmasy about this besides the name. Dark mahogany colour with a thin off white head. Muted aroma. Biscuit malt flavour, really not much happening in any department. Deeply dull. zzzzz
