Dark Red Ale
Álfablót – a sacrifice to the Elves.
For our Norse ancestors autumn was not a season. There was spring, a short summer and a very long winter. After harvest it was time to go indoors.
We have now entered Winter when the power of the dark, mysterious and dead are at their strongest - we would do well to keep them on our side. So we must offer our friendship to the powers stirring, so they may aid us through the darkness and cold into the season of light and growth.
The powers of the dark are not evil but powerful and we must seek their assistance by offering them beer and meat.
Although this really took place over a thousand years ago around the same time of year as Hop tu Naa, Halloween, All Saint’s Day and the Day of the Dead, now we offer you the chance to look back in time, while you make time for a beer!
Slaynt vie!
