Bottle (kindly delivered by Allen!): A bit hazy, quite small off-white head, amber - You guessed it - coloured; caramel, dark malt and traces of vegetables in the nose, very light bodied for a beer of 5.0%, mild sweetish-bitter flavour; caramelly traces and shy hops in the slightly lingering finish. Boring brew.......

(bottle, 33cl, as Oberländerbräu Amber Spezial) Hazy, dark amber colour with a short and slightly tanned foamy head. Sweet and slightly yeasty toast-malty aroma with notes of caramel, chestnuts and vanilla. Moderately sweet flavour, quite slim bodied with a calm carbonation. Delicately toasted cara-malty taste with light nutty notes and traces of herbal hops; slim and also a bit short malty finish with a profane hops-character. 19.I.10

Cloudy amber color. It has a light chestnut honey aroma and a light cereals taste, and as often for generic Amber beers, there’s not much more.

Bottle, 5.0%. Weak, citric malt aroma. Hazy, orange/amber colour. The flavour is quite mild, slightly citric, but with OK naturtrüby yeast flavour. High carbonation.

Bottled (BB 11/2006)
Hazy light ambr color, small steady off-white head. Light, a bit sourish aroma with grassy hoppyness. Sour, malty, grassy and fruity notes. Unbalanced. Is this really Vienna?
