Big thanl you to Erzengel für this 0,5 l swing top bottle. BB 23.08.2024. Cloudy dark amber in the glass with a nearly two finger pale beige head. Looks really good. Malty caramel aroma, hints of wood ash. Taste starts disappointing watery, sweet malty, some nuts. Low bitterness. Looks better than it tastes.

Thanks to kevnic2008 for that one! Bottle looks simple but good. Beer in the glass not as dark as exspected. Starts mild, modest malty, some spicy notes. More and more wheaty, a bit soapy. Average.

Bügelverschlußflasche: Hazy, amber coloured, small and stable off-white head, sweetish roasty and (X-mas-)spicy nose with a fruity touch; pretty dry, but still sweetness detectable, light to medium bodied, a bit fizzy; lingering dry fruity to hoppy and toasty finish. Not bad, not bad......

(swing top bottle, 33cl) Hazy, chestnut-brown colour with a medium-sized tanned foamy head. Toast-malty aroma with notes of caramel, a tinge of honey and a distinctively spicy and slightly herbal touch. Moderately sweet and slightly roasty bitter flavour, light to medium bodied with a moderate carbonation. Roasty-malt character with notes of caramel, chocolate and again strong spicy notes; mildly sweet, roast-malty with distinctive notes of chocolate and a spicy touch. A likeable Dunkel. 08.II.12
