Bottle, 5.4%. Roasted aroma, hint of chalk. Black colour, small tan head. The flavour is roasted and caramelly, some sweetness, sweet liquorice.

Bottled. Dark ruby/black, rich firm beige head. Aroma of coffee and dusty fruit salad. Very dry with light body and rounded mouthfeel. There’s chocolatey with some toffee, fairly low bitterness. A velvetty very drinkable dry stout!

Bottled. A deep red beer with a thick rocky brown head. The aroma is sweet malty with acidic notes from the hard roasted malt as well as some citrusy notes and alcohol. The flavor is sweet malty with notes of roasted malt, lending it an acidity, as well as light notes of soy sauce, leading to a hard roasted finish. The body is a bit thin.

Dark brown with a huge deep beige head. Aroma was sweet with roasted malt, caramel and chocolate. Flavour with roasted malt, caramel and hints of smoke.

Bottle 75cl. [ As Brasserie Noyon Noire de Slack ].Clear dark brown color with a average to large, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, light beige head. Aroma is moderate malty, roasted, burnt, cold coffee. Flavor is moderate to light light heavy sweet and bitter with a average to long duration. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. Bottle. Frothy lightbrown excellent mostly lasting head. Black colour. Moderate malty light hoppy aroma. Week roasted and coffee notes. Moderate bitter. Average finish. Oily palate. OK stout.

Collapsing dirty-greige head over deep, deep redbrown, nearly black beer. Slightly sourish stout nose, burned malts, bit of chocolate. Sweet from the malts, smoked as from cigarette, roasted as from a really good beef roast crust. Despite the sweetness quite dry, bit sticky even, quite slick. Aftertaste is sweeter. Bottle, 75cl corked. A clear, dark ruby beer pouring with a dense, beige head. Some sourness in the aroma, as well as chocolate, roasted malt and coffee. Chocolate, coffee, some sourness and bitterness in the flavor. Dry, slightly sour finish. Sure, it’s drinkable and all that, but it’s just not up there. (080215)

750 ml bottle. Dark red, almost black body with a big beige head. Relatively vague aroma of roasted malt and liquorices. Flavor is roasted malt, liquorices and seaweed. Not very harmonic in my opinion.
