From cask at Kenilworth. Pours clear and golden yellow with a small white head. Sweet blueberry aroma. More dry and malty flavoured with a distinct blueberry note. Somewhat artificial and quite strong flavoured of blueberry. Smooth and fruity finish.

Cask handpull at Scarborough Hotel, Leeds. Gold, thin off white head from the sparkler. Blueberry fruit hits you up front. Not sure the mix of obvious fruit and a bitter works, like the Westerham kriek. You can’t mix sweet fruit and bitter. It’s like your mouth wants to go in 2 opposite directions at the same time. Good bluberry aroma and an ok bitter underneath, but the 2 just don’t meld well. Not even as good as a Belgian fruit lambic.

Cask, Head of Steam, Liverpool. I’m a big fan of blueberry in all guises.....so was interested to stumble across this. Clear golden colour with a thin white head. Sweet aroma of guess what ? with some hop. Flavour pretty similar....Perhaps not something I’d drink a barrel of, but refreshingly different and hats off for that.
