Summer Wheat Beer - This Summer Wheat Beer has a wort of around 12.5%. We start to serve it mid-/end of March. It is enjoyed for its creamy but firm froth, it´s refreshing and sparkling lightness, its mild and fruity sweetness with a banana-like aroma.

On tap at the pub. Smooth mild Weizen yeast, typical banana with a bit more clove than banana. Nice carbonation, fresh, smooth with a nice bitterness, that is higher than expected, but fits in great. Smooth bitter clove yeasty aftertaste with hints of grain. Nice.

Sommerweizen! 12/8/10/9//9

Draught at the brauhaus
Cloudy blond color with generous, compact, persistent head. The aroma is quite spicy, with a light banana presence. Soft mouthfeel, some wheat flavor, delicate spiciness (cloves), subtle fruitiness (banana and hint of tropical); low bitterness.
Quite good Weizen.

Draught at the brewpub. Cloudy golden, firm creamy head. Bandaid aroma. Sweetish with medium body and soft mouthfeel. Creamywith some mashed banana, tiger balm and sassafras as well as custard and wheat bread. No bitterness. Remarkable phenolic and not at all without it’s charm.

From tap at the brewpub. Pours hazy and pale yellow with a white head. Aroma is classic wheaty and slight diacetyl. Butterish, slight acidic and dry estery wheaty. Why? Smooth mouthfeel. Ends slight bitter and herbal. Not good.

(draught at the brewpub) Hazy, pale golden colour with a small, diminishing foamy white head. Sweetish wheat-malty and strong banana-fruity nose with alcoholic fusels. Sweet and slightly sour-fruity flavour, light to medium body, too low carbonated for a Weizen. Wheat-malty, yeasty taste with banana and unpleasant alcoholic notes; medium-dry, moderately sweet malty finish with a restrained fruitiness and a whiff of cloves. Unbalanced Weizen (03.10.06).
