Bottle thanks to bu11zeye. Marked best by 2009. Pours a clear yellow with a small, white head. Aroma of hay, pepper, some banana esters, and some chardonnay grapes. Taste has some fruity esters, wheeat and vanilla with a bit of poached apples. Water like mouthfeel with lively carbonation.

Bottled. Clear golden colour, mediumsized fluffy off white head, that goes rather small quickly. Leaves some lace. Alcohol, wooden sweetness as well as some mild notes of perfume in the flavour and aroma. Clean and rather easy to drink.

Thouroutenaere is probably the same as Hapkin. Webbs' GBG calls it an organic version. Highly unlikely - this would be mentionned on the label. With the closing of Louwaege imminent, this beer is supposedly still brewed in Kortemark (BBd: 11/03) Pale golden with greenish shine (Chablislike). Very thick, white head, big bubbles. Nose is yeasty, banana, honey-ish, edicinal. taste is very dry, then a sweetness develops, slightly spicey, a bit fruity. Mouthfeel characterised by the dryness, nearly dusty. A bit af adstringency even develops. Alcohol. Aftertaste is bitterness becoming pronounced - in a very dry way. Intersting, complicated 'taste-traject'.
