500ml bottle. Cloudy, red colour with small, fading, bubbly, off-white head. Oaky and vinous, fruity aroma, notes of cherry, morello, hints of blue grapes, minimally spicy, tangy overtones, some funk. Taste is minimally dry, oaky, sweet-ish, vinous fruity, minimally tart, notes of cherry, hints of morello, blue grapes, a spicy touch of black pepper and nutmeg; well hidden alcohol. Watery texture, creamy palate, fine and gentle, minimally prickly carbonation. Good!

Tap at Nuetnigenough. Wow. Amber red colour, frothy thick small bubbles head. Aroma is crazy, bourbon barrel maybe, cheesy, very strange, nutty too, and booze. Wood. Taste is bourbon again, sweet, fruity and creamy. Wild stuff. Really interesting and making me wobble a little. Further down, less cheese, booze starts biting. Aftertaste makes my tongue tingle. Great stuff.

Bottle. Reddish brown color. Cherry and marzipan in the aroma. Sweet flavor with oak, vanilla, caramel and cherry. Soft sour notes. Alcohol hidden by the abundance of flavors. Complex brew.

Many thanks for this beer to mrs. Ewa Skorska from Bazyliszek Brewery. Red Label Edition. Zero piany, mega owocowo, ocet winny, kwasne maliny, jablka, alkohol ukryty. Czerwono-rozowa barwa z brazowymi refleksami, troche osadu jest, zmetnia barwe piwa dajac jej bardziej brazowo-sliwkowa barwe. Mega owocowe i srednio kwasne, dobre, cos nieco zalatuje lambikowymi klimatami. Doskonale pasuje do podduszonej ekologicznej cebuli z polowa kwasneko zielonego jablka.

On tap at Haand Festival. An unclear amber to brown colored beer with a minimal sized off-white head leaving some curtains. Cherry, caramel, cellar, wood and funk in the aroma, dark dried fruits too. It’s full-bodied, lightly warming and sweetish, with a pleasant bitterness. Cherry, leather, cellar, wood and funk, with caramel and dried fruits, leading to a lasting cherry and wood dominated finish. Not a beer to enjoy at a festival, even though I did, it’s a beer for a more relaxed situation. A beer to sip slowly. 160528

hazy brown colour, practically no heat, just some off-white lacing; aroma of cherry, woody and earthy notes, some wine cellar and red wine; taste is the same with mild vinegar, tannins and tart notes; good Belgian strong (sour???) ale

This pours a fairly clear deep amber with an inch of foam.

Smells of fruity, woody sour notes with a hint of Brett.

Fruity sour taste with some wood, Very small suggestion of Brett but I could be imagining that. All around, smooth, tasty, easy to drink for 11% abv. And, it was not a gusher.

This is worthy of a repurchase. --- Beer aliased from original tick of The Oak Melchior Special Edition Pur Sang on 21 Jul 2016 at 19:10 - Score: 8. Original review text: A bit smoother, more tart, not a gusher. ..alcohol is hidden better. Deep amber colour. Excellent.

Nice hazy/unclear amber color with a thin head. Nice intensity in the aroma. Full body and a soft carbonation. Very balanced sourness/acidity/sweetness. Oily texture. Fruity, vinegar, barnyard and vinous. Very well masked alcohol.
