Much more pine on the nose this time and there seems to be a nice balance between sweet malt and refreshing hops. Overall, a much better experience this time. Previous rating 5/2/5/2/10 = 2.4 Pleasant slightly malty (a bit grainy) nose. Slightly cloudy, light amber colour. The taste is gently malty to start with but it grows to a nutty/caramel note on the end. A bit full for a lager, maybe more like an amber ale. Fairly chunky but doesn’t clean as well as expected on the end.

(Bottle) Deep golden colour with frothy, off-white head. Malty, slightly fruity nose with notes of toasty malt, apples, toffee, honey and citrus peel. Malty taste with brown bread, ryvita, toffee and citrus. Medium body, starts with some honey sweetness, but turns drier towards the end. A slightly sharp but short bitterness in the finish. According to the label there’s Cascade, Amarillo, Saaz and Magnum hops here. Nice that Spendrups learned the names of some hop varieties, just a pity they’re more present on the label than in the actual brew. Still a decent lager.

Small very white head. Amber body with light small-bubbled carbonation. Light orangey rubbery aroma with malty notes. Dry-sweetish citric dusty fruity taste with rubbery artificial notes. Light body. Mild mouthfeel. Dry strawy peppery aftertaste with citric grainy notes. Also an acidic tinge to it. Disappointing. (0.33l bottle, Systembolaget, Stockholm.)

Bottled. A golden beer with an orangey head. The aroma has notes of malt and straw as well as a bit of hops. The flavor is sweet with notes of hops and malt - but a bit light for my liking, leading to a lightly bitter finish.

Bottled:
Pours deep golden with a steady head. Sweet, grainy aroma. Flavour is dry and grainy with sourish notes of mashed apples. Where’s all the hops the label promised?
