Draught, 8.0% at the brewpub. Malty and slightly yeasty aroma. Cloudy dark red amber colour. The flavour is quite yeasty in the right Belgian way. Sweet and alcoholic like it should be.

Bottle from Birratrovo, Como
Dark brown color, almost black; generous head. Delicate dark caramel and chocolate aroma, with light fruity sourness, and light Belgian yeast touch. Good body strength; caramel and chocolate flavor, made more dynamic by a light sourness, with some bitter oranges and a light spicy touch at the end, elegant and not intrusive; it reminds me the candied orange peel coated in dark chocolate; some more roasted malt at the end, but still very balanced. Belgian style, quite complex. Very good.

Draught Pinkish, good dense head; slightly hazy dark red-brown beer, ruby highlights. Smoked nose, smoked malts, cranberry. Ferrous oxyde in the head? Smoked, bready, toffee, a bit spicey flavours like mace and cinnamon. Quite sweet. Spices keep hanging around. Velvety MF - some people say astringent, but that’s too explicit. A bit wry, nearly tart in the finish is more like it. Very interesting beer, lots going on in there. Most of Lambrate’s beers have some German character - this one not.
