Draft @ Pinch. Pours a nut brown with minimal head. Aroma of roasty nuts and caramel. Taste is light sweet. Caramel and roasty nuts. Medium bodied with a thin texture. Lively carbonation and a decently long finish. Overall, not bad. It would be great for drinking outside on a hot day.

May 2010: Had this beer at the Excalibur (Las Vegas) at the pool bar and in the Sherwood Forest Bar on the casino floor. The beer is a clear, almost bright reddish amber brown colour, the head was thin and white. The nose is sweet, caramel and malt molasses mostly. The taste was also fairly sweet, but not overly so. I got some toffee to add with the molasses and caramel from the smell. Although I thought the body a little thin for a Bock I was pleasantly suprised how drinkable the beer was (hence having it more than once during our stay).

Bottled 355ml. -Clear amber coloured, small off-white head that went away fast, light caramel nose. Mild roasted malt, caramel and some metal with notes of brown sugar in the finish. Here’s evident lack of body. Drinkable but weak.

Draught at Newark airport, NJ. Clear pale nut brown, small head. Slight syrupy nose. Sweet and fruity, empty except for some metal and starch, light bodied with low bitterness. Takes blandness to a new level.

Bottled. Amber colour, small white head. Aroma is fruits, some sweet malts and that’s about it. Quite mild. Flavour is fruity, caramel malty as well as some slight notes of bready malts and mild bitterness. Not all too unpleasant.

On tap. Pours a dark brown with amber highlights. The taste is dark toasty bready malt, a light nutty flavor with a crisp hops aftertaste.

12 oz bottle. Faint aroma of caramel malt. Looks terrible--no head or lacing (I like how the label boasts about its "tall head"). Dark brown hue. Tastes of toasted almonds, caramel. Starts slightly sweet and finishes just a little bitter. Highly carbonated, light bodied. Not a drain pour, but oh so uncreative.
