An American bock-style lager brewed with three unique malts including roasted and caramel and specialty malts. This dark mahogany lager has a rich, nutty aroma with a gentle hint of caramel malt sweetness. This American-style bock has a deep malty body that pours with a tall head.

Overall Impression: This one's half decent when you are talking about a American Macro, I certainly don't go out of my way to get it, but when your choices are limited this can sometimes be one of the best options (I know, high praise indeed).

So I got this beer because we got a very large quantity of it at a bar... it was either this of bud or bud light so yeah... Pours quickly dissipating beige head and an amber brown body. Mediocre aroma. Taste is there. It has got some malts. A tiny bit of hops. Also a little sweet. Could be a lot worse.

Pours dark brown with off white head. Faint malty aroma. Toasted malt flavor with some caramel. Thin body with average carbonation. OK for a macro.

Bottle. First the Ratebeer description is correct, this is NOT a bock. Bottle. Poured brown with thick fast dissipating white head. Faint roast malt flavour with weak hop. Weak watery finish. Not as bad as most A-B, products.

Pours mahogany into a shaker. Cola head quickly recedes to nothing. Dark caramel aromas. Fizzy with nutty caramel upfront and a dry, sweet tea finish.

12 oz. bottle from a sampler. Dark amber color with a thin head, decent retention and lacing. Pretty generic roasted malt aroma with some light chocolate notes. Taste is roasted malt with banana and caramel notes. Odd flavor in the finish. Thin bodied.

not as boring as the other Michelob’s but not something to reach for. They could learn a thing or two from the Dark Czech lagers.

On tap at Paul’s. Has a dark amber color with a small off white head. The aroma is very malty and carmel. Decent lacing on the glass. The taste is a watery malt with smooth finish, easy to drink but not too much going on with this one.
