Special - JDW Fest Autumn 2016
This new, pale golden beer, brewed exclusively for this Wetherspoon real-ale festival (Autumn 2016), has a floral aroma from Kentish elderflower, combined with peppery, spicy hop notes, leading to a balance of sweet malt and subtle bitterness, along with a refreshing finish.

On cask at the Alexander Graham Bell. Appearance - golden amber with a decent head and a slight haze. Nose - elusive. Taste - tropical fruit, lychee and like overripe kiwi. Palate - close to medium bodied with a creamy texture and a long dry finish. Overall - decent.

Cask hand pull at the. Moon under water Watford Jdw. A clear golden orange coloured pour with no head. Aroma is twiggy nutty malts, tangy apple, raisin. Flavour is composed of light grains, nutty, thin, brown sugars little apple. In no way, shape or form could this be considered a saison. A poor imitation of an English bitter. Not good. Palate is semi sweet thin, sugary malts, lowish carbonation shite.

Cask at the Bear (JDW), Maidenhead. A bright straw pour with a thin white head; sweet floral aroma with just a hint of farmyard; sweet elderflower cordial taste balanced by some sour grains; then a dry floral finish. Not very saison-al.
