An old ale with Cheveller, Special B, and a load of Cherry-wood smoked malt lightly hopped with Columbus. A two-hour boil will give this Old Ale plenty of malt body and an unmistakable smoke profile.

7/2/2025. Cask at the 15th Elysian Winter Beer Festival. Pours clear mid brown with a small frothy off-white to beige head Aroma is charred, woody, burnt rubber, smoked, citrus, chocolate. Moderate sweetness, quite bitter and smoked. Medium body, slight oily and watery, soft carbonation. Drying orange woody finish. It’s okay.
