Bottle. Malty and hoppy aroma, citrus fruit, roasty notes, light coffee and chocolate. Malty and hoppy taste, citrus fruit, chocolate, light coffee, light sweet, medium bitter. Medium to full body, malty and hoppy bitter sweet finish. Perfectly ballanced. Very good.

Aroma has grapefruity hops and licorice. Flavour has earthy notes, some licorice, hops and mild mineral tones. Interesting, I’ve rarely tasted BIPAs with earthiness.

Bottle: Poured a black color ale with a large off-white/light brown foamy head with good retention and some lacing. Aroma of roasted malt with light piney hops notes is enticing. Taste is a nice mix of roasted malt, light bitterness with some piney hops notes with some subtle blackberry notes also apparent. Body is about average with good carbonation. Enjoyable black IPA with a nice blackberry twist that really fits in.

33cl bottle from Alko, Turku. Pours very dark mahogany coloured, close to black, with a modest, beige head. Roasty and hoppy; dark chocolate, pine, citrus and notes of dark fruits. Medium sweet with medium flavour intensity and ditto bitterness. Balanced, smooth and quite enjoyable.

Lovely black IPA. On tap at craft & draft. Pours basically black, with a nice head. Very balanced malt and hops flavours, with some chocolate and dark malts. Hops is restrained, but still citrus and dark berry notes are prominent. The blackberry touch is not really something I like that much, but that's personal preference. Still a lovely BIPA.

F: medium, tanned, quick gone thin film. C: dark, opaque. A: orange, caramel, bit tropical fruits, mango, pineapple, grapefruits. T: tropical fruits, tangerine, orange, pineapple, bit caramel, bit chocolate, medium to full body, medium carbonation, very good, sample draft @ Swafff! Brussels Craft Beer Festival – 2nd. day.

Clear, dark brown to black colored, medium+ frothy beige head, nice lasting and good lacing. Aroma is of roasted malt, chocolate, medium+ hoppy pine and citrus hops. Taste is medium+ sweet malt, roasted notes, chocolate, bit caramel, medium to strong hoppy, pine and citrus grapefruit, medium bitterness, dry finish. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, oily.

330ml bottle @ Station. Pours black, thin tan head. Sweet dark malt aroma. Taste presents an initial burst of sweet liquorice and pine with some softening chocolate and dark malts, light bitterness. Quite a flavoursome Black IPA.
