Mystic Bridge India Pale Ale
A mild earthy IPA with hints of grapefruit citrus
6.0 % ABV 43 IBU 8.5 SRM
This pale amber colored New England style IPA was inspired by one of the most recognizable landmarks in CT, the 1920 bascule bridge in Mystic, down the river from our brewery. It is a well balanced, mild earthy brew with hints of grapefruit citrus. The Centennial and Cascade hops are flavorful without being bitter and the CaraMalt gives it its sweetness. Great with: strong, spicy food; bold, sweet deserts.

Typical middle of the road IPA from Cottrell brewed for this restuarant, dont think they varied the recipe up too much from their Mystic Bridge IPA.

not the best ipa ive ever had, and although i realize cottrell is making an english style ipa, that doesnt mean they need to remove the hops entirely. try again cause im rooting for you.

Copper coloured body with an amber glow and a thin off-white head. Aroma of light grapefruit and piney hops, a good malt balance, a touch of sweetness and a very mild nuttiness. Medium-bodied; Nice fresh hop flavour that shows some perfume, some flowers and more grapefruit than anything else. Aftertaste shows a good balance of hops and malt with a nice finish - nothing bitter, but a good hop showing. Overall, a nice and easily drinkable IPA while still showing some good hop notes and a pleasant balance. I sampled this twelve ounce bottle purchased from Normβs in Vienna, Virginia on 30-July-2011 for US$2.25 sampled in a hotel room in Syracuse, New York on 11-August-2011.

Sampled at the NoVa Summer Beer Fest in Leesburg, VA on 6/25/11. Pours a hazy amber color with a medium sized creamy head. Decent head retention and lacing. Aroma of floral hops, honey and toasted malts. The taste is herbal, resiny hops. Medium bodied.

Pour is a hazy copper with a large white head. Aroma is citrus with sweet malt. Flavor is better with hops and a nice helping of caramel malts. Finish has some resin left on the tounge but nothing to save this beer. Light over all and reAlly not all that hoppy for a beer calling itself an IPA.

Bottle. Mild hoppy aroma. Cloudy grey amber colour. Very small tan head. The flavour is hoppy, high, clean bitterness. Hint of grapefruity hops. Nice and refreshing.

bottle thanks to beerbill, pours light amber with a medium to tall beige head. Aroma is full of floral and leafy hops, very fresh with some faint citrus notes. Flavor is toast and biscuits with a nice bitterness that is predominately grapefruit and pine resin. Very solid.
