cask at Nottingham beer festival ..dark black ...thin tan lacing ...dark chocolate ..soft mellow chocolate ...dark sweet caramel toffee chocolate roast malts

Appearance - 8 | Aroma - 6 | Flavor - 8 | Texture - 8 | Overall - 7
Cask at Shrewsbury Arms, Stafford. Pours almost black with a small foamy cream head and good lacing. The aroma has chocolate and fudge. In the mouth it is sweet and smooth. Caramel is the dominant flavour, but there’s also toffee and malts plus traces of lemon and butterscotch. This is decent.
