Can from The Green Goddess, Blackheath Royal Standard. Aromas of dried fruit, caramel, white grape, red apple, icing sugar. Taste is much the same. Feels more alcoholic than it actually is. Rich sweet aftertaste.

A beer described as a Scotch Ale / Wee Heavy would usually induce a querulous grimace, but this is a serious beer. Both winey and beery at the same time, it packs a punch at 6.0%. Would probably have again, but not as a session!
