On tap @ Carters Bar. Pours dark amber and beyond. There’s a decent head and gentle carbonation. The nose is dominated by the crystal and cara malt flavours, very biscuity and with a hint of spice, though I don’t get the cinnamon or dried fruit so much. The taste has more of the same but again a lack of the dried fruit & spice. The palate is medium bodied and textured with a fairly elegant finish - it grows on me too. Overall, solid but not up to Stewarts’ usual standards.

Ruby red colour. Aroma is a bit stale, like cardboard. Flavour has some red fruit sweetness. Nice texture, silky.
