Jet black pour, with a medium mocha head. Aroma is quite robust, huge roast, burnt roast, some soy, and loads of coffee. Some nice spice from the rye, and sweet cereals. Earthy oak, subtle vanilla. oily, and full bodied. medium bitter, silky finish. Great barrel aged stout.

12oz @ Ryan's (thx for the beer, dude!). Appearance: very dark brown with a dark beige head. Aroma: a bit spicy, charred oak, chocolate, some sweetness. Taste: along the same lines, rye nicely adds to the overall complexity. Overall: good one, the best of the three I tried tonight (base, HH, and this one), but I do still think the base requires more thickness!

Poured from 355mL can (pkg 21/Sep/2023; thanks Sammy). Tried same night with Blackburne and Blackburne Heaven Hill Bourbon 2023 (tried this last). Near black with light tan head. Oaky and roasty. The rye compliments the roastiness of the base beer here, adding some nice complexity. Enjoying this the best of the three.
