Bourbon barrel aged imperial stout with banana oatmeal muffins. We rested a few imperial stout bases in bourbon barrels for 12 months, blended them, and then conditioned the blend on banana oatmeal muffins, more bananas, and a few packs of instant oatmeal.

Leftovers from 500ml shared with Phill @ Ryan's. Appearance: brown with no head. Aroma: sweet banana, chocolate, and caramel. Taste: along the same way, lots of banana, very sweet and boozy. It lacks body and balance, though. Overall: meh.

Poured from bottle (shared with Peter H). Dark brown with minimal to no head. Banana, mild wood backing, oatmeal underlay, a bit of bourbon heat. Decent.

Sampled at Birch & Barley. Pours an oily brown/black with a ring of more reddish head. This one looked different. Lotta cinnamon and pepper but it helped balance. Malt and molasses lead with some spice and raisinette too.
