Dark brown colour, it seems opaque. Aroma of chocolate, earth, spirit. It's full bodied, sweet, dark chocolate, a sour fruit touch that adds dynamics, warming alcohol. This is rich, and very good.

16oz (thx, Brian C.!) @ Alex's. Appearance: dark brown with a beige head. Aroma: nice bourbon, chocolate, some vanilla character, maybe some fruity acidity from cherries. Taste: along the same lines, noticeable bourbon and American oak, chocolate, vanilla notes, definitely some cherries but they are nicely integrated. Overall: very nice. Last 3 beers I've had from the brewery forced me to change my mind about it. I avoided it for a couple of years but I am glad to get back to it after Brian expressed his opinion regarding the quality of the recent releases.
